Eucerin intensive lip balm review-blogger mail

It’s been a long while since I did a blog but I’m back! The longer you go without doing one the harder it is to just sit down and do it.

I was kindly gifted this lip balm together with a CC cream and sun screen from beiersdorf (Eucerin) for review so I’m sorry this has taken so long, my work life took over for the last few months! But let it be known I have been using away at these products and have some great things to say!

I first heard of Eucerin a few years ago when I received their ‘Aquaphor’ balm in a glossybox. I didn’t have any expectations at the time as I knew very little about the brand but I was so pleasently surprised! I remember at the time I had a small cut on my hand and it wasn’t healing very well so I decided to put some of the Aquaphor on it, literally the next day it looked 100% better! Miracle cream!

So from then I knew Eucerin were more than your average skincare brand! This time round I have been trying out their intensive lip balm which as I mentioned was kindly gifted to me following some correspondence with the brand. I have to admit this is the best lip balm I have ever used and lived up to all expectations.

I have quite big lips which when I was younger I hated but now I have embraced and love (thanks Kylie Jenner for making big lips a trend!) The downside of bigger lips however I have found is that they can often become dry and cracked, particularly in the changing of the seasons. And this is something I have been suffering with lately. It doesn’t help that I have a bad habit of biting the skin on my lips when they are dry or when I’m stressed meaning they can be very sore. I used my intensive lip balm on a day when my lips were particularly painful and immediately my lips felt better. The balm is thick and feels almost luxurious. It subconsciously makes you feel like it’s making your lips better straight away because it just feels like it’s doing you good, except it really is! A few hours after application my lips already felt softer, smoother and somewhat healed. The balm lasts on the lips too, even if eating and drinking which is a bonus. The balm is clear but glossy on the lips and feels very moisturising which is win, win! One other point I’d like to mention is that I love that this product is in a handy squeeze tube. It makes it handy to carry about and is much less messy than a tin, more hygienic too!

Overall I love this product and when it runs out I will certainly be repurchasing! I love to apply it before bed so I wake up with soft lips that makes lipstick application so much easier (you will thank me later!)

Thanks for reading,
