The Boulevard, Banbridge

Hi everyone,

Last Saturday I had the privilege of being invited to Banbridge to attend the relaunch of The Boulevard, formerly known as The Outlet.

The fashion weekender (24th-25th March) began with ‘Belfast Fashion Week goes to The Boulevard’. Having been to the Highstreet Heaven fashion show in St.Anne’s cathedral the night before it was great to keep the fashion theme going and check out some of the amazing pieces that I had seen on the catwalk in the shops that they came from! The Boulevard offers fantastic savings at up to 70% off the retail price so you will definitely leave with a bargain. And if you didn’t know already, bargain is my middle name!

The day consisted of fashion shows and style inspiration by Stylist Cathy Martin, along with compère and former Miss Great Britain, Gemma Garrett! Customers could also avail of VIP treatments which is continuing this weekend. I’m actually heading back today for my nail treatment and massage! And of course I might sneak in some more shopping…it would be rude not to!

Last Sunday seen top Irish-American designer Paul Costello visit The Boulevard to host an exclusive retailer catwalk and Q&A and yesterday Belfast Metropolitan fashion students got the opportunity to showcase their talents on the catwalk also.

The Boulevard has always been one of my favourite shopping destinations and in recent years it has gone from strength to strength with the addition of a 24/7 Tesco superstore, omniplex cinema and drive thru McDonald’s!

I worked in GAP outlet back in my uni days in The Boulevard (then The Outlet) and I actually remember visiting the centre on its opening day after school as it was literally only down the road. It has changed so much since then and I am really looking forward to the developments to come in the next few years with added investment.

Chris Nelmes, the Boulevard’s Centre Manager, said: “We’re delighted with the positive responses from our rebrand, which has been created to reflect the centre’s positioning as the perfect alternative to shopping in the city, with convenient transport links between the North and South of Ireland.

“Our first weekend went brilliantly, and we are all ready to do it all over again next weekend so if you missed out be sure to visit us then.”

If you do check out The Boulevard this weekend be sure to get you photo taken on the people’s catwalk and caption it with the hashtag #strutyourstuff with the chance to win a luxury shopping trip to Paris!!

Myself and Liz from @beautyfashionchitchat (go check her out)

Be sure to share all your bargains with me if you visit on Instagram http://www.instagram.com/scientist_in_the_city

Thanks for reading and Happy Easter!
